Regulations

Agricultural rent rules change over time. They may depend on the department and the period concerned. Domania incorporates the history of the regulatory criteria required to manage agricultural rents.

Domania also allows you to track payments. You know:

Domania is primarily designed for the landlord/property owner. But the relationship involves two people. That's why Domania also provides the tenant with a simplified presentation allowing them to quickly verify the amount being requested. The goal isn't to take sides; it's to allow both parties to look at the same calculation and the same information.

What if your lease became problematic tomorrow?

A lease can last a long time. Regulations, however, continue to evolve. Domania keeps the history needed to place situations in their proper context over time and can also provide a projection of future risk, assuming that observed trends continue. This is not a prediction of future regulations. It is a way of answering a simple question:

Why not simply use Excel?

Excel is excellent.

For a few leases, it may be perfectly suitable. But as the land holding grows, leases multiply, dates differ, and regulations change, you have to maintain the data, formulas, historical records, and documents. At that point, the problem is no longer Excel.

Domania was born from a problem encountered in the real world. Not from a desire to create yet another piece of software. We saw landowners spending time trying to understand complex rules in order to manage an income that should be much simpler to administer. We also saw contracts passed down through inheritances to people who are not farmers.

So we chose to take part of that complexity off their shoulders.
