MinIO Filelink

MinIO Filelink plugs MinIO — or any S3-compatible storage — into Thunderbird's built-in "Filelink" feature. Instead of attaching a large file directly to your email, Thunderbird uploads it to your MinIO server and inserts a download link in the message.

Key features:

Any MinIO/S3 server, private or public — point the extension at your own MinIO endpoint, whether it sits inside your company network or is exposed publicly. Large attachments never have to leave your organization's storage.

Time-limited download links — links are generated as presigned URLs that expire after a configurable duration, so files aren't left reachable indefinitely.

Multi-account support — configure a different MinIO server and bucket for each Thunderbird account.

Automatic multipart upload — files above a configurable size threshold are uploaded in parts, making large attachments reliable to send.

Built-in connection test — a dedicated settings panel lets you verify your endpoint, access key, secret key and bucket before you rely on it.
